Sophos Central is a vendor-hosted cloud management platform accessed through a web console, with Cloud Workload Protection extending coverage into customer cloud environments. Public product pages confirm workload protection support for AWS and other major public cloud environments. Native support for Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and Tencent Cloud workloads is not confirmed on Sophos's public product pages and should be verified directly with Sophos for SEA-specific cloud environments before being represented to a prospect running on those platforms.

Sophos offers self-serve, no-obligation 30-day free trials for individual products within Sophos Central, including Endpoint, XDR, Email, Mobile, Workspace Protection, and Firewall, started directly from the Sophos Central Admin Console without needing to contact Sophos or a partner first. Multiple product trials can run at the same time, each on its own independent 30-day clock. Trial accounts are capped at 1,000 items per object type, such as users, groups, and devices, a limit removed upon conversion to a paid license. If a trial expires without conversion, the account must wait 30 days before starting another trial of the same product, though a Sophos Partner or account manager can request an extension before expiry. Sophos Email includes an additional grace mechanism: after its 30-day trial, protection can continue for up to 30 more days on a temporary license to give time to purchase before service is cut off.
