Overview
The SingleStore Iceberg integration provides native support for external tables with materialization, allowing SingleStore to access data in an Apache Iceberg lakehouse without making an external copy. Smart Materialization lets teams materialize all, some, or none of the data into SingleStore according to their own performance and cost requirements, removing extract, transform, and load overhead. This is the mechanism behind the speed layer positioning, where the existing lakehouse remains the system of record and SingleStore serves the latency-sensitive workloads in front of it.
