ArangoDB is a native multi-model database that consolidates graph, document, key-value, vector, and full-text search capabilities into a single engine, queried through one declarative language, AQL (ArangoDB Query Language). Rather than stitching together separate systems for each data model, an approach the vendor refers to internally as a "Frankenstack," teams get one platform with governance, scalability, and security built in from the start. ArangoDB is the data foundation beneath Arango's broader product line: the Arango Platform Suite, which adds enterprise operations and observability, and the Arango Contextual Data Platform, which adds GraphRAG, vector embeddings, and agentic AI integrations for building production AI applications.

Supported Cloud Infrastructure
The Arango Managed Platform (AMP), Arango's fully managed cloud service, is natively available on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, selectable by region at deployment. ArangoDB can additionally be self-managed on any infrastructure, including Kubernetes, virtual machines, or bare metal, extending its reach to environments such as Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, or Tencent Cloud. Arango does not currently offer a natively managed AMP deployment on those three platforms.
Free Trial
The Arango Managed Platform includes a free-to-try tier providing 14 days of full cloud access at no cost, including one project, one small 4GB deployment, local backups, and one notebook for learning and data science work. Sign-up is self-serve through email, GitHub, or Google, and does not require a credit card; a mobile number is requested only for accounts registered with public email providers such as Hotmail. Customers can unlock full, unrestricted AMP features and larger deployment sizes at any point during or after the trial simply by adding billing details and a payment method. If no payment method is added, the trial deployment is automatically deleted at the end of the 14-day period, so evaluation data should be exported, or the account upgraded, before the trial ends.
