Licensing follows an annual subscription model and must be paid upfront each year. The cost per protected asset decreases as the number of agents increases (volume-based pricing).
Licensing is calculated based on the number of protected assets, such as VMs, bare metal servers, VDI, desktops, container nodes, and others.
A separate management license is required for on-premises or non-SaaS deployments. For SaaS-based management, the license is provided free of charge (FOC) and is the recommended option.
Different license types apply for servers versus desktops/laptops/VDI, as well as for Kubernetes (K8s) nodes and legacy operating systems. Additionally, some services are licensed based on the total number of agents or assets.
