High-Performance HTAP
OceanBase is the only distributed database to simultaneously set world records for both TPC-C (707 million tpmC) and TPC-H (15.26 million QphH @ 30 TB). It has consistently powered Double 11 events, handling peak workloads of 61 million QPS across deployments exceeding 10,000 nodes.

Multi-Tenancy Architecture
OceanBase features a native multi-tenant design that ensures strict isolation of data and permissions between tenants. Each tenant can independently choose compatibility modes and configure replica counts, storage placement, and compute resources.

Strong Data Consistency

Product Description
OceanBase Database is an enterprise-grade, native distributed database independently developed by the OceanBase team. Designed to deliver financial-grade high availability on standard hardware, it introduces a city-level disaster recovery model known as Five IDCs across Three Regions. As the first distributed database to pass the TPC-C benchmark, OceanBase supports clusters with more than 1,500 nodes. It also offers a cloud-native architecture, strong consistency guarantees, and high compatibility with Oracle and MySQL.

High Availability
OceanBase implements an advanced disaster recovery architecture spanning five data centers across three regions, establishing a new benchmark for lossless disaster recovery in the financial sector. It supports multi-active deployments across regions, achieving an RPO of 0 and an RTO of under 8 seconds, in line with Level 6 financial disaster recovery standards.

High Compatibility
OceanBase supports the majority of Oracle and MySQL features, including advanced capabilities such as procedural languages and triggers. OceanBase Migration Service (OMS) enables automated migration assessment, secure data transfer, and reverse synchronization, supporting critical system migrations in industries such as finance, public services, and telecommunications.

Elastic Scalability
The platform enables rapid, transparent horizontal scaling to accommodate changing business demands. Its quasi in-memory transaction processing architecture delivers high performance at scale, supporting clusters with thousands of nodes, data volumes exceeding 3 PB, and tables containing trillions of rows.

Cost Efficiency
OceanBase leverages an LSM-tree–based storage engine to achieve high compression ratios, reducing storage costs by 70–90%. Its multi-tenant architecture allows a single cluster to serve multiple business domains with isolated data, significantly lowering deployment and operational expenses.

Real-Time HTAP
OceanBase uses a unified database engine to support both real-time transaction processing and real-time analytics on the same dataset. Data replicas can be stored in different formats for different workloads, ensuring performance optimization while maintaining strict consistency.

Developed independently since 2010, OceanBase provides full control over its source code and has a proven track record supporting large-scale financial core systems.
